Zidong Pump has upgraded the impeller of a 24-inch dredge pump. The upgrade incorporates advanced design concepts and manufacturing processes. Fluid dynamics optimization design has been utilized in the new impeller.

The impeller is constructed from high chrome alloy wear-resistant material. An independent wear ring has been added at the most abrasion-prone area. The wear ring helps maintain efficiency and extends the service life of the pump. The cost of replacing the wear-resistant ring is significantly lower than that of the impeller. Regular replacement of the wear-resistant ring can lead to reduced overall maintenance costs.

The impeller structure has been optimized, the number of blades has been reduced from 5 to 4, which widens the flow channel, improves the particle passing ability, and enhances the suction and flow rate.
